The Birth of Chem’s Magazine

Chem’s Magazine was born from a simple yet brutal observation: chemsex is an increasingly present reality, and yet it remains largely invisible.
Between easy judgments, awkward silences, and alarmist discourses disconnected from the reality on the ground, there was a lack of space — a real media outlet — to talk about chemsex freely, seriously, and humanely.

The idea to create Chem’s Magazine came from within: from those who live, have lived, or encounter chemsex in their daily lives.
Not to demonize it, nor to trivialize it, but to tell stories, inform, educate, raise awareness — and above all, give a voice to those who too often are not heard.

Chem’s Magazine is a project born from a double urgency:

  • The urgency to understand a complex phenomenon, mixing sexuality, substance use, the search for escape, loneliness, the pursuit of intensity, and sometimes destruction.
  • The urgency to raise awareness without judgment, through reliable, accessible, and concrete information.

We believe that talking about chemsex means talking about reality, health, bodies, desires, wounds, and paths to recovery.
We also believe that information saves lives, that testimonies break isolation, and that prevention comes through knowledge, not fear.

Chem’s Magazine is thus designed as a space:

  • To understand chemsex in all its complexity.
  • To listen to those who live or have lived this reality.
  • To share initiatives that support, protect, and accompany.
  • To highlight the health, societal, cultural, and community issues linked to chemsex.

This project would never have come to life without the commitment of those directly affected, the courageous stories of those who agreed to speak, and the deep conviction that no one should be reduced to silence or shame.

Chem’s Magazine is above all:

  • A new voice, free and authentic,
  • A tool for knowledge for everyone,
  • A call for collective reflection, far from clichés and sensationalism.

Today, we are launching this magazine to contribute, in our own way, to a shift in perspective.
Because it's time to open the dialogue. Because understanding also means better protection.

Welcome to the world of Chem’s Magazine.
